Завершены испытания подводного аппарата BlueWhale

После двухнедельных испытаний вблизи Эккернфёрде ВМС Германии объявили о завершении тестирования возможностей автономного подводного необитаемого аппарата BlueWhale.
ASS оснащен рядом датчиков, позволяющих обнаруживать и сообщать о наличии в районе наблюдения подводных лодок и иных угроз, включая минные поля. Особенностью дрона является буксируемый гидролокатор.
BlueWhale был испытан в соответствии со спецификациями как ВМС, так и Технического центра Бундесвера (WTD 71). Центра передового опыта по операциям в замкнутых и мелких водах (COE CSW, Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters) обеспечил экспериментальное подключение Blue Whale к ситуационной картине ВМС.
BlueWhale – это большой беспилотный подводный аппарат длиной 10,9 метра, диаметром 1,12 метра и весом 5,5 тонн.
Он выполняет скрытный сбор разведданных, может обнаруживать подводные лодки и иные цели, выполнять акустическую разведку, искать мины на морском дне.
