“Trumbo” is a 2015 American biographical drama film directed by Jay Roach and written by John McNamara. The film follows the life of Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, and is based on the 1977 biography “Dalton Trumbo” by Bruce Alexander Cook.

In 1947, he and nine other artists (given the nickname the “Unfriendly Ten” or “Hollywood Ten”) were blacklisted and put on trial for their political beliefs (present or past membership in, alleged membership in, or perceived sympathy with the Communist Party USA, or on the basis of their refusal to assist Congressional or FBI investigation of alleged Communist influences in the motion picture industry).

On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events." What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
