Российские придворные СМИ в очередной раз продемонстрировали свою неадекватность. В частности, почти все они хором представили встречу Дональда Трампа и Владимира Зеленского в минувшую пятницу как провал украинской стороны, наполнив медиа публикациями со злорадными заголовками вроде «Зеленского вышвырнули из Белого дома», «Переговоры США и Украины сорваны» и т. п.
На самом деле обе стороны продемонстрировали способность жестко отстаивать свои интересы, попутно решив для себя задачи первого этапа переговоров. Так что у российской публики нет повода для радости. Напротив, не исключено, что положение РФ в ходе переговорного процесса ухудшилось.

One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into." "Someone posing as a Ukrainian citizen just joins the chat and starts spreading misinformation, or gathers data, like the location of shelters," Tsekhanovska said, noting how false messages have urged Ukrainians to turn off their phones at a specific time of night, citing cybersafety. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website.
