Первоначально планировалось открыть пять избирательных участков в России, однако разрешение было дано только на два — оба в Москве.
ЦИК сначала постановил рассмотреть возможность создания участков в других городах.
Тем не менее МИД отказался выполнять это решение, и в итоге ЦИК постановил уничтожить 33 тысячи бюллетеней, предназначенных для закрытых участков, поскольку их некому передать.

Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world. The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. There's also an English-language website, which states it is owned by the people who run the Telegram channels.
