С 2016 по 2017 годы Лянгузов, заключая фиктивные договоры, незаконно перевел на фиктивную компанию средства и имущество АО "Энергия". Которой на тот момент на 97% владел Александр Хуруджи, нынешний глава Ассоциации защиты бизнеса, экс-претендент на пост главы администрации Ростова и пр.. В эти же годы Лянгузов был свидетелем по так называемому делу Хуруджи, которого вместе с бывшим гендиректором "Энергии" Сергеем Конопским обвиняли в хищении имущества ПАО "МРСК-Юга" почти на полмиллиарда рублей. В 2017 году суд оправдал Хуруджи. Лянгузов в итоге получил 6 лет колонии общего режима и штраф в 500 тыс. рублей.
