🇸🇾🇱🇧 Pro-Hezbollah and Pro-Assad Lebanese media figure and political writer Hussein Mortada commented on the Syrian events:

➡️ Several Syrian officers were bought during the opposition attack, which affected the course of the battle, and there was betrayal within the ranks of the Syrian army during the military campaign

➡️ While preparing for the battle of Homs, Hezbollah decided that night to send fighters to support the Syrian army and they were stationed in the front lines, but the Syrian army came and asked the party members to station themselves in the back lines, and after less than half an hour, the party fighters were surprised that the opposition militants had bypassed the Syrian army and were among the Hezbollah fighters, and this is evidence that some officers in the Syrian army were bought

➡️ Hezbollah and Iran were subjected to a major deception in Syria, and there are suspicious Russian threads in this matter, and Hezbollah has no problem with the Syrian people, and Hezbollah noticed that during the aggression on Lebanon, Russia evacuated its strategic points in southern Syria at this suspicious and sensitive time, and the question here is why did Russia evacuate those sites at that moment in the battle?

➡️ There was communication between Hezbollah and HTS in Homs before the fall of the regime and an agreement was reached between the two parties to secure the withdrawal of the Hezbollah's fighters from Syria to Lebanon on the principle that the Syrian army refused to fight and therefore the party is not interested in a direct confrontation with the organization's fighters.

➡️ There are groups not affiliated with Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham that took control of Damascus hours before the arrival of al-Julani's fighters, and those forces are affiliated with Ahmed al-Awda, who is under the command of the Russians. Did Ahmed al-Awda move by his own decision or by a Russian decision? Did what happened happen by chance or to share shares or distribute roles?

➡️ The Iranian consulate in Aleppo warned the Syrian regime months ago that the opposition was preparing for a major attack, but unfortunately the Syrian regime did not take those reports into account, except that it neglected Aleppo, the economic capital of Syria. I am against killings wherever they are found, and today if we exclude Al-Julani and bring any other man in Syria, his pictures will be raised as the pictures of the revolution were raised, "for the nature of man is with the strong"

The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. "We're seeing really dramatic moves, and it's all really tied to Ukraine right now, and in a secondary way, in terms of interest rates," Octavio Marenzi, CEO of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance Live on Thursday. "This war in Ukraine is going to give the Fed the ammunition, the cover that it needs, to not raise interest rates too quickly. And I think Jay Powell is a very tepid sort of inflation fighter and he's not going to do as much as he needs to do to get that under control. And this seems like an excuse to kick the can further down the road still and not do too much too soon." He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. "Like the bombing of the maternity ward in Mariupol," he said, "Even before it hits the news, you see the videos on the Telegram channels." The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp.
