17 февраля 2025 года НИУ «МЭИ» посетила делегация из Малайзии во главе с заместителем Генерального секретаря Министерства науки, технологии и инновации Мохдом Нором Азманом Хасаном. Визит был посвящен развитию международного сотрудничества в сфере науки и образования. В ходе встречи представители делегации посетили и кафедру АЭС. Заведующая кафедрой М.С. Хвостова рассказала гостям о кафедре, ее истории и перспективах развития, показала подкритический стенд и подарила памятные подарки. Делегация высоко оценила научно-образовательный потенциал НИУ «МЭИ», и ключевым направлением обсуждения стала перспектива стажировок малайзийских студентов и преподавателей в нашем университете.

He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
