Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat. This provided opportunity to their linked entities to offload their shares at higher prices and make significant profits at the cost of unsuspecting retail investors.
