1️⃣ Staff – это “персонал” или “сотрудники”.
Примеры: The IT staff quickly resolved the network issues - IT-персонал быстро решил проблемы с сетью.
Our development staff is working on the new app - Наши разработчики работают над новым приложением.
* В американском английском после “staff” обычно используют глагол в единственном числе, например, “the staff is…”. В британском - во множественном, “the staff are…”.
2️⃣ Stuff – это “вещи”, “предметы” или “материалы”.
Примеры: We need to ensure that all the backend stuff is working correctly - Нам нужно убедиться, что вся бэкенд-часть работает правильно.
We have a lot of stuff to cover in today's meeting - У нас много вопросов для обсуждения на сегодняшней встрече.
‼️Запомните: "staff" – это о людях, а "stuff" – о предметах и материалах!
