Отметим, Монте Мелконян родился 25 ноября 1957 в США. Он считается одним из наиболее ярких, талантливых и опытных армянских командиров Арцахской войны. Монте погиб 12 июня 1993 года в ходе боя в селе Марзили. Посмертно удостоен звания Национального героя Армении, а также звания Героя Арцаха. Похоронен в воинском пантеоне «Ераблур». Имя Монте Мелконяна присвоено воинской части ВС Армении, университету и школе в Ереване. @alphanewsam
