На одной из самых известных фотографий 1945 года Мария Лиманская работает регулировщицей у Бранденбургских ворот в Берлине. Один из символов наступившего нового времени для Германии.

Но конечно, за плечами Марии Лиманской была не только эта фотография. На фронт она попала в 18 лет и прошла большой путь вместе с наступавшей Красной Армией. В 1944 году участвовала в освобождении Крыма.
