«Причиной вымирания этого животного стало истощение рыбных запасов в результате интенсивного вылова, строительство плотин и вырубка пойменных зарослей деревьев и кустарников на берегу обитаемых водоемов», — рассказали в фонде.
Ранее Среднеазиатская речная выдра обитала в реках и озерах Иссык-Кульской котловины, Чуйской долины, Чаткала, Нарына и Алайской долины.
Учитывая в каком состоянии экологической катастрофы находится Бишкек, в том числе и по причине системной вырубки деревьев, похоже скоро жителей столицы можно будет заносить в специальную "Красную книгу". Тем более, что Бишкек занимает лидирующие позиции в списке самых загрязненных столиц мира.
