В 1969 году редактор издательства Random House обратился к Дали, чтобы тот проиллюстрировал ограниченный тираж сказки. Художник создал 12 гелиогравюр. На каждую поместил Алису, которая держит в руках скакалку — образ, связывающий все иллюстрации.

Всего было издано 2500 книг с гравюрами Дали, сегодня их ориентировочная стоимость — $ 10 тыс. Но особенно ценны 200 экземпляров, которые художник лично подписал на развороте с титулом: за одну коллекционерам придется отдать в среднем $ 20 тыс.
