Участок был арестован по иску украинской государственной энергетической компании "Нафтогаз". Она судится с РФ с 2016 года из-за национализации ее активов в Крыму российским государством после аннексии полуострова. В 2023 году арбитражный суд в Гааге обязал Россию выплатить украинской компании 5 млрд долларов. Россия отказывается это делать.
