Одним словом, успокаивают психику маньяка и внушают ему, что они его боятся. А вокруг, незаметно и тихо, ведут работу совсем непубличные люди, готовя все к тому, чтобы в нужный момент кто-то сделал один точный выстрел из снайперской винтовки.

Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world.
