80 лет со дня рождения Виктора Прокопенко...

24 октября 1944 года в Мариуполе родился легендарный тренер "Ротора" Виктор Евгеньевич Прокопенко. Под его руководством волгоградским клубом были написаны одни из самых ярких страниц в его истории - регулярная борьба за победу в Чемпионате России, несколько российских пьедесталов, финал Кубка, успешные выступления в Еврокубках.

Помимо "Ротор" Прокопенко также работал в одесском "Черноморце", донецком "Шахтере" и московском "Динамо".

Рохус Шох: "Он никогда не изменял своим принципам, схожим с общечеловеческими: порядочность, принципиальность, доброта, юмор. Бог его забрал, он ушел легко, а нам стало очень тяжело без него".

Виктор Евгеньевич скоропостижно скончался 18 августа 2007 года на 63-м году жизни.
