The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Now safely in France with his spouse and three of his children, Kliuchnikov scrolls through Telegram to learn about the devastation happening in his home country.
