вечером субботы я узнала из инстаграма, что недалеко от Ньюкасла есть место, где живут тюлени. дикие, приплывают когда сами захотят, спят там на камнях и шлёпают хвостами по лужам. кто бы мог подумать?!
естественно, план на воскресенье не заставил себя ждать и был прост как ясный день: доехать до станции Whitley Bay на метро минут за 20-30, оттуда прогуляться 4-5 км вдоль моря на остров с маяком и умирать там от умиления, рассматривая тюленей и тупиков, пока прилив не заставит возвращаться домой (они обитают на tidal island - острове, на который можно попасть только в часы отлива).
