Середюк также пообещал, что продолжит проекты, начатые предыдущим губернатором.
Полпред президента Анатолий Серышев в свою очередь похвалил Кемеровскую область, заявив, что Кузбасс является опорой российской государственности. Полпред добавил, что многие, наработанные на территории региона схемы ускоренного развития следует успешно применять и в других субъектах Сибирского федерального округа.
