Лица таких новогодних скульптурных фигурок изготавливали в технике папье-маше, а затем раскрашивали.
На подставке у нашего сохранился типографский бланк фабрики изготовителя с указанием наименования изделия - "дед Мороз 40", сорт - "1", цена - "1-60", штамп ОТК - "15 августа 1958".
В музее этот предмет оказался как дар от ветерана Великой Отечественной войны, блокадницы, Почётного гражданина Пикалёво Зои Ильиничны Штаповой (1919 - 2022).
