Сегодня, 3 декабря, неравнодушные новосибирцы торжественно возложили цветы к Вечному огню на Монументе Славы. Церемонию приурочили к памятной дате — Дню неизвестного солдата, когда вся страна чествует павших защитников Родины.
58 лет назад, 3 декабря 1966 года, в Александровском саду у Кремля торжественно похоронили неизвестного солдата. Его прах перенесли из братской могилы на 41-м километре Ленинградского шоссе. Таким образом в столице отметили 25-летие разгрома фашистских войск под Москвой.
Похожее мемориальное место и в Новосибирске. В 1991 году в наш город привезли останки бойца из Долины Смерти под городом Белый Тверской области, где сражалась 22-я Сибирская добровольческая дивизия. После этого на Монументе Славы открыли плиту в честь безымянно погибших земляков.
