По данным газеты Iltalehti, в составе бригады будут шведские и норвежские солдаты, в Миккели создадут подштаб передовых сухопутных войск НАТО – Сил быстрого реагирования.
Солдаты будут жить в Ивало, Соданкюля и Рованиеми, там уже построили необходимую инфраструктуру. Официально о создании штаба в Миккели объявят в сентябре.
Финский министр обороны Антти Хяккянен также заявил, что в переговорах о размещении военных участвовали, помимо Швеции и Норвегии, и другие государства.
Сухопутные войска будут находиться в стране не постоянно, а например, на время учений.
