В 2023 году Москвитина приговорили к полутора годам колонии по делу о создании религиозного объединения, деятельность которого сопряжена с насилием над гражданами. Тогда речь шла о «Церкви Евангельских христиан „Новое Творение“», открытой в 2016 году. Следствие считает, что, собирая пожертвования, Москвитин «оказывал психологическое воздействие на прихожан, применяя специфические приемы и техники воздействия на психику человека».
