Очередной всплеск протестных настроений в Абхазии из-за попыток Кремля заставить республику жить «по закону, а не по понятиям» совпал по времени с пребыванием в Тбилиси толпы европейских политиков, привлечённых деньгами грузинских НКО для протеста против итогов парламентских выборов в Грузии.
Совпадение это пока что случайное. Неслучайным оно может стать в случае, если прозападной оппозиции во главе с президентом Зурабишвили придёт в голову (самой по себе или ей это подскажут) поднять людей под лозунгами к «реинтеграции», от которых сразу после выборов отстранилась «Грузинская мечта».
Так что вроде бы латентный характер грузинских протестов в Тбилиси не должен успокаивать Кремль при формировании текущей политики на абхазском направлении. Все в регионе очень тесно между собою взаимосвязано и желающих поиграть извне на «горячих» темах (особенно во время транзита власти в США) более чем предостаточно.

The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. As such, the SC would like to remind investors to always exercise caution when evaluating investment opportunities, especially those promising unrealistically high returns with little or no risk. Investors should also never deposit money into someone’s personal bank account if instructed.
