Волжская ГЭС ("РусГидро") за 1 полугодие 2020 года на 40% превысила выработку электроэнергии прошлого года. Показатель в 8462 млн кВт·ч выше среднемноголетних на 30% и уж точно самая большая выработка электроэнергии в 1 полугодии за весь период эксплуатации гидростанции.
Причина такого значительного роста выработки в повышенном притоке воды в водохранилища Волжско-Камского каскада ГЭС. Надо отдать должное компании – к весеннему половодью адаптировались быстро, хотя оно было непривычно ранним и самым продолжительным в истории Волжской ГЭС.
Сейчас станция работает в штатном режиме. Там продолжаются работы по обновлению оборудования в рамках Программы комплексной модернизации ГЭС «РусГидро». Она предусматривает полное обновление гидроагрегатов станции, после чего мощность Волжской ГЭС увеличится до 2744,5 МВт.
