Средства пойдут на монтаж новой линии, на которой планируется ежегодно выпускать 24 тыс. осей с нагрузкой 23,5 тс и 25 тс. Оба типа осей уже производит само предприятие.
По данным ROLLINGSTOCK, в 2021 году РВРЗ выпустил 3,7 тыс. вагонов, загрузка завода составляла 100%. Доля вагоностроителя в общем объеме выпуска в России составила 5,9% (7-е место на рынке).
