На улице Бараташвили, по которой часть протестующих планировала пройти к площади Свободы, их встретила полиция со слезоточивым газом — в ответ люди вновь применили фейерверки, но им пришлось отступить.

Одна девушка сумела вырваться из рук нескольких силовиков и сбежать.

Силовики продолжают задерживать мирно стоящих участников митинга — на видео от JAMnews полиция подходит к группе стоящих на тротуаре молодых людей и уводит их.

Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Tuesday that Ukrainian forces "destroy the invaders wherever we can." The gold standard of encryption, known as end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and person who receives the message are able to see it, is available on Telegram only when the Secret Chat function is enabled. Voice and video calls are also completely encrypted.
