Как заявил Махмуд Ахмади Бигаш, депутат иранского парламента, МИД его страны стоит напомнить талибам*, что проживающие в Иране 10 млн афганских мигрантов потребляют иранской воды в десятки раз больше, чем те 820 млн кубометров, которые Тегеран требует по договору 1973 года. Эффективной дипломатией Бигаш считает повышение требований воды до эквивалента того, что потребляют афганцы в Иране.
