Пекин, 15 октября /Синьхуа/ -- Официальный представитель Министерства обороны КНР У Цянь осудил администрацию Демократической прогрессивной партии /ДПП/ Тайваня за то, что она упрашивает США продать ей оружие и только попусту растрачивает с трудом заработанные деньги жителей острова.
У Цянь сделал соответствующее заявление, комментируя сообщения в СМИ о выдвинутом в адрес американских торговцев обвинении в мошенничестве при продаже оружия Тайваню.
Назвав эти сообщения лишь "верхушкой айсберга", У Цянь отметил, что американское оружие, продававшееся Тайваню на протяжении многих лет, отличалось двумя чертами -- заоблачной ценой и устаревшими характеристиками.

"The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
