Roman historian Pliny (23AD/24AD-79AD) called Jericho as having its numerous palm groves:

Latin: Hiericuntem palmetis consitam, fontibus riguam

English: the district of Jericho, which has numerous palm-groves and springs of water..."

This confirms Deuteronomy 34:3 & 2 Chronicles 28:15's words of Jericho being the city of palm trees:

Deuteronomy 34:3 KJB
And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.

2 Chronicles 28:15 KJB
And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives,...and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.

"The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke. Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. But the Ukraine Crisis Media Center's Tsekhanovska points out that communications are often down in zones most affected by the war, making this sort of cross-referencing a luxury many cannot afford. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are β€œprivate amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback.
