Подробно показан лагерный быт: работа на скотоферме (уход за животными), садах и огородах, швейных фабриках (работа с тканью и изготовление одежды и аксессуаров), обработка металла вручную и на станках, гончарное ремесло; отдых после работы: футбол, уход за телом (принятие душа), поход в библиотеку и маленький концертный зал, семейные застолья и разговоры..
