این کتاب را علی حاجی‌قاسمی؛ استاد سیاست‌گذاری اجتماعی دانشگاه سودرتون سوئد، حدود دو دهه قبل در نقد پروژۀ اصلاح‌طلبی در ایران نوشته است. او قائل به این است که یکی از الزامات تحقق اهداف سیاسی جنبش‌های اصلاحی، داشتن برنامه‌های رفاهی به‌ویژه در حوزۀ بیکاری، مستمری سالمندی، مسکن، آموزش، و سلامت است و اساساً اعتبار جنبش‌های اصلاح‌طلبانه به پیشبرد چنین برنامه‌هایی است. او میزان پایداری روند اصلاحی را وابسته به حضور فعال و متشکل طیف‌های اجتماعی در تحولات اصلاحی می‌داند. به میزانی که صنف‌ها و گروهای اجتماعی در زندگی روزمرۀ خود در روند تحولات تدریجی وارد شده باشند و در جهت بهبود اوضاع تلاش کنند به همان میزان امکان تحقق تحولات گسترده در حوزۀ سیاسی هم فراهم می‌شود و اهداف اصلاحات دست‌یافتنی‌تر خواهد بود. او استدلال می‌کند که بی‌توجهی اصلاح‌طلبان به ضرورت مبنا قراردادن گروه‌های اجتماعی به عنوان «عامل» و «موضوع» اصلاحات دلیل اصلی نازایی و کم جانی روند اصلاحات در ایران بوده است. مطالعۀ این کتاب در شرایط امروز ایران خالی از فایده نیست. @omidi_reza

Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. As such, the SC would like to remind investors to always exercise caution when evaluating investment opportunities, especially those promising unrealistically high returns with little or no risk. Investors should also never deposit money into someone’s personal bank account if instructed. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
