بل سلطان العلم أعظم من سلطان اليد، ولهذا ينقاد الناس للحجة ما لا ينقادون لليد؛ فإنَّ الحجَّةَ تنقاد لها القلوب، وأما اليد فإنما ينقاد لها البدن، فالحجة تأسر القلبَ وتَقُودُه، وتُذِلُّ المخالف، وإن أظهر العناد والمكابرة فقلبه خاضع لها، ذليل مقهور تحت سلطانها، بل سلطان الجـاه إن لم يكن معه علم يُساس به فهو بمنزلة سلطان السباع والأسود والأسود ونحوها، قدرة بلا علم ولا رحمة، بخلاف سلطان الحجة، فإنه قدرة بعلم ورحمة وحكمة، ومن لم يكن له أقتدار في علمه فهو إما لضعف حجته وسلطانه، وإما لقهر سلطان اليد والسيف له، وإلا فالحجَّةُ ناصرة نفسها، ظاهرة على الباطل قاهرة له.
