Не умаляя выдающуюся роль наших полководцев, хочется в то же время особо подчеркнуть, что Великая Победа под Сталинградом была бы невозможна без массового героизма солдат и офицеров, переживших и выдержавших настоящий ад уличных боев в ходе обороны города на Волге.
