Начав работу судьей в 1970, он в 1986 возглавил Мосгорсуд. Еще через три года назначен председателем ВС РСФСР. В 1991 назначен, в 1999, 2007 и 2012 переназначен на должность председателя ВС РФ.
Для меня он олицетворял преемственность советского и российского правосудия - судебной власти, выполняющей подчиненную, вспомогательную функцию по отношению к власти исполнительной.

Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website.
