Начал эту практику бывший министр культуры Владимир Мединский, который в 2015-2020 гг. убирал из майского проката комиксы Marvel и оставлял военное российское кино. Тем военным фильмам сильно легче от этого, впрочем, не становилось - кассу они толком не собирали и на майские каникулы касса у кинотеатров просто заваливалась. И сейчас кинотеатры, судя по их форумам, просто "счастливы".
