Ведомство считает, что «Макфа» и ряд других предприятий, включая «Смак» и «Челябинскоблгаз», имеют коррупционное происхождение, поскольку их бенефициары Михаил Юревич и Вадим Белоусов занимались бизнесом, работая в органах госвласти, и «в течение многих лет нарушали установленные антикоррупционным законодательством запреты и ограничения», пишет издание. Юревич с 2000 по 2005 год был депутатом Госдумы, затем до 2010 года возглавлял Челябинск, а впоследствии до 2014 года — Челябинскую область. Белоусов с 2011 по 2023 год был депутатом трех созывов Госдумы.
