В этот день в 2010 году в соответствии с указом Президента РФ его сформировали на базе войск Приволжско-Уральского военного округа и части Сибирского военного округа.
За это время военнослужащие округа сотни раз доказывали свою верность и преданность Родине, проявляя истинное мужество и героизм.
В настоящее время бойцы Центрального военного округа успешно выполняют поставленные перед ними боевые задачи в зоне проведения специальной военной операции.
