Традиционно в еженедельной рубрике #НаОстриеКлинка рассказываем о предметах выставки «„Узоры золота на стали...“ Искусство оружия Ближнего Востока XVI–XIX веков из собрания Государственного Эрмитажа»! Сегодня мы рассмотрим изящную пороховницу.

Пороховницы, небольшие емкости для хранения пороха, были обязательным атрибутом стрелка начиная с XV века. Нередко их делали из рога крупного рогатого скота или диких животных. Форма изогнутого конуса была удобной для загрузки пороха в дуло ружья.
На выставке представлен рог для пороха, созданный в Османской империи в XVIII–XIX веке.
Корпус пороховницы выполнен из дерева, сверху обтянут кожей ската. В оформлении рога кожей ската «зашифрован» образ дракона — в его огненной и водной ипостаси одновременно. Таким образом дополнительно усиливалось отождествление огнестрельного оружия и этого мифического, извергающего пламя существа.

In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. The Dow posted a fifth straight weekly loss — its longest losing streak since 2019. The Nasdaq Composite tumbled 2.2% to 12,843.81. Though all three indexes opened in the green, stocks took a turn after a new report showed U.S. consumer sentiment deteriorated more than expected in early March as consumers' inflation expectations soared to the highest since 1981. Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications.
