19.09 Группа сенаторов США внесла на рассмотрение законопроект STATEGIC Act 2024, направленный на "стратегическое противостояние" с Китаем.
Авторы инициативы предлагают ужесточить американское законодательство в сфере контроля за деятельностью иностранных агентов и усилить контроль за аналитическими и образовательными организациями в США.
Законопроект, в частности, предусматривает:
🔹Реформу Закона о регистрации иностранных агентов (FARA), в соответствии с которой предлагается убрать из законодательства ряд исключений, а также предоставить Министерству юстиции право выдвигать требования о проведении гражданских расследований.
🔹Противодействие "пагубному влиянию Коммунистической партии Китая" через повышение прозрачности деятельности аналитических центров и запрет определенных дарений и контрактов, связанных с университетами США.
