Первым военным контрактом Выборгского судостроительного завода, который ранее занимался лишь гражданским судостроением, может стать заказ на постройку патрульного ледокола проекта 23550 для ФСБ на общую сумму 18 миллиардов рублей. По информации источников в судостроительной отрасли, подписание контракта в намечено на март 2020, а закладка корабля произойдет уже летом того же года. Сдать корабль планируют в 2024.
В настоящее время два корабля проекта 23550 строятся на "Адмиралтейских верфях", но в этом случае заказчиком является ВМФ РФ, а не ФСБ.
