На создание первого сада на мысе Амон актрису Мадам Тэбо вдохновил художник Клод Монэ. Он же работал над его общей концепцией.
Сегодня современные сады Этрета занимают территорию 1,5 гектара и сочетают необычные растительные композиции с произведениями современного искусства, созданные художниками из разных стран. Есть в истории садов и имена двух россиян. Александр Гривко в 2016-м году руководил их реконструкцией, после которой сады открыли для туристов, а скульптор Алёна Коган создала одну из работ для сада Avatara.
