Alstom и Siemens получают новые заказы на высокоскоростные электропоезда

Так, компания Kevin Speed хочет летом заключить контракт с Alstom на 20 поездов, об этом ее председатель Лоран Фоуртоне сообщил IRJ. Поезда будут иметь одноэтажное исполнение и распределенную тягу. При этом Alstom традиционно выпускает высокоскоростные составы с моторными вагонами-локомотивами (таким будет и новая Avelia Horizon), а модель с распределенной тягой AGV поставляла только в Италию в конце 2000-х. Kevin Speed получила доступ к трем маршрутам из Парижа в марте-2024, коммерческие перевозки должны начаться в 2028-м.

В свою очередь Siemens Mobility ожидаемо выбрана предпочтительным поставщиком 10 семивагонных поездов для линии ВСМ Brightline West в Калифорнии. Машины с распределенной тягой создадут на базе самой новой платформы Velaro Novo (в США представлена как American Pioneer 220) с конструкционной скоростью в 354 км/ч. Их выпуск планируется наладить в США на новом заводе.

Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Channels are not fully encrypted, end-to-end. All communications on a Telegram channel can be seen by anyone on the channel and are also visible to Telegram. Telegram may be asked by a government to hand over the communications from a channel. Telegram has a history of standing up to Russian government requests for data, but how comfortable you are relying on that history to predict future behavior is up to you. Because Telegram has this data, it may also be stolen by hackers or leaked by an internal employee. Groups are also not fully encrypted, end-to-end. This includes private groups. Private groups cannot be seen by other Telegram users, but Telegram itself can see the groups and all of the communications that you have in them. All of the same risks and warnings about channels can be applied to groups.
