Zuvor hatte McMahon Medienberichten zufolge auf das Handelsministerium gehofft, war aber übergangen worden. Die 76-Jährige habe „jahrzehntelange Führungserfahrung“ und „tiefes Verständnis für Bildung und Wirtschaft“, so Trump. Was die künftige Ministerin mit Trump gemeinsam zu haben scheint, ist Wrestling und eine Leidenschaft für öffentliche Auftritte.
