У памятника с капсулами земли городов-героев, в том числе Волгограда, собралось множество значимых фигур: депутаты, представители Администрации города, члены общественной палаты, лидеры патриотических организаций, студенты, преподаватели и неравнодушные жители. Мероприятие прошло в торжественной атмосфере, где каждый присутствующий вспомнил подвиги советских солдат, сражавшихся 200 дней и ночей на берегах Волги за судьбу нашей страны.
