На видео можно заметить дыры в фюзеляже самолёта, а также кровь на полу возле одной из пассажирок. Предположительно, она могла быть ранена поражающими элементами. Ранее в хвостовой части самолёта также обнаружили отверстия, похожие на следы от поражающих элементов.

По словам министра транспорта Казахстана Марата Карабаева, из 29 госпитализированных пассажиров борта 11 находятся в стабильно тяжёлом состоянии, ещё 8 человек в состоянии средней степени тяжести. Он отметил, что тела погибших обгорели, будет отдельная процедура опознания.

Также Карабаев заявил, что был обнаружен чёрный ящик самолёта.
