Система власти в нашей Византии устроена намного сложнее, чем может показаться со стороны. Тем значимее оказаться в числе лучших политтехнологов России за 2024 год. Рейтинг составили коллеги из телеграм-канала "Трезвый политолог", одного из крупнейших профильных. Составление подобного табеля о рангах среди политконсультантов — та ещё задачка, с учетом того, насколько "всё переплетено". Но им удалось.
Очень рад был в одной компании с большим числом друзей, коллег и умнейших людей.

And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Individual messages can be fully encrypted. But the user has to turn on that function. It's not automatic, as it is on Signal and WhatsApp. "He has kind of an old-school cyber-libertarian world view where technology is there to set you free," Maréchal said. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights.
