Интенсивность российских атак постоянно росла с октября 2023 года, когда ВС РФ начали наступление на Авдеевку. В мае 2024 года началась новая интенсификация боевых действий, когда среднее количество атак в день превысило 100. К ноябрю-декабрю среднее количество атак за день превышало 200, максимум был зафиксирован на уровне 292 атак за день, однако сейчас упало до 158 в день. Также отмечено, что российские войска по крайней мере временно прекратили удары авиабомбами с модулями планирования и коррекции. Пока рано говорить относительно того, остановлено ли российское наступление, речь может идти о временной передышке и перегруппировке.
