Mindful of the "Woman, Life, Freedom"-inspired revolutionary attitude in the Iranian diaspora, in this session Dr. Moradian will talk about her book on the pre-1979 Iranian revolutionaries in the United States. Through this book review and analytical discussion with Dr. Persis Karim, we will try to understand the achievements and failures of the Iranian revolutionaries during the past 5 decades. Dr. Manijeh Moradian portrays the approach of the pre-1979 Iranian revolutionaries in the US as "intersectional anti-imperialism", which among certain Iranian diaspora groups today seems to have been shifted toward a state of "intersectional imperialism" in their pro-sanction and -war attitude.

The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. Two days after Russia invaded Ukraine, an account on the Telegram messaging platform posing as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged his armed forces to surrender.
