Трамвай Усть-Илимска был запущен в 1988 году и ходит от лесоперерабатывающего завода в город, до 9-го микрорайона. Часть живописной линии проходит по тайге. Линия считается скоростной, ее протяженность — около 15 километров.
С 17 по 22 декабря параллельно с трамваями запустят автобусы. 22 декабря трамваи выйдут в последний рейс в город. С 23 по 31 декабря они будут ходить только по маршруту «Трамвайное депо» — «ЛПК» и перевозить рабочих. С 31 декабря трамвайная линия закроется полностью, пишет «Иркутск Онлайн».
